Student Training for the Professional

Ann offers a solid training to students with potential talent for a future performing career.

The emphasis is to secure a strong, basic dance technique in the core subjects. Thus enabling the individual to excel in their particular field and to develop an all round ability for the future. A vocal training and drama skills along with audition advice is available.

Students are encouraged to enter vocational qualifications with the International Dance Teachers Association.

Teacher Training in Theatre Dance

Ann offers teacher training /coaching in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz syllabi of the International Dance Teachers Association.

A performers intermediate examination, if younger than 21 years of age, is required to commence teacher training. At A.V.A. this examination can be gained in the first instance to continue onto graduate status and finally to full associate qualification.

Additional licentiate and fellow examinations are offered to existing teachers of the Ballet Branch.

Private or shared sessions (if available) can be arranged with Ann.
